Why UV-Stable Topcoats Matter at Colorado Altitude
Denver’s sun is harder on floors than sea-level cities. Plan for it.
The Colorado UV Problem
At elevation, UV radiation is significantly stronger. Aromatic epoxy resins (the most common in cheap kits) amber and yellow within months when exposed to sunlight through garage doors or windows.
The Solution
We finish systems that see any sunlight with UV-stable polyaspartic or aliphatic urethane topcoats. These hold their color and gloss under intense high-altitude sun and still deliver the abrasion and chemical resistance the floor needs.
If a quote doesn’t specifically mention UV-stable topcoats for areas with sun exposure, ask. It’s one of the biggest differences between a floor that still looks good in three years and one that doesn’t.
